Alazne “Ali” Solis, Principal at S3-Solis Strategic Solutions, possesses policy expertise and strong connectivity with policy makers at the Federal and Congressional levels. She is a fierce leader, representing a small percentage of women executives in the United States. Formerly the President and CEO of Make Room Inc., a national nonprofit advocating for struggling renters, Ali is deeply committed to housing affordability.
Throughout her career, Ali has demonstrated exceptional leadership. Prior to Make Room, she advanced Enterprise Community Partner's public policy and external affairs priorities and served as a senior advisor to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Affairs. Ali co-led the ACTION Campaign, a national advocacy network, protecting and expanding Housing Credit and Private Activity Bonds to provide affordable homes for lower-income families across the country.
Ali has played a significant role in stabilizing communities after crises and securing vital funding for housing programs. Her dedication to affordable housing extends to her involvement with influential organizations like The Urban Land Institute, National Housing Conference, and Up for Growth.
Ali's work has been recognized through publications, appearances on prominent shows, and accolades such as the Stevie Award for Women in Business, Executive of the Year for Nonprofit/Government.
She has published multiple Op-Eds in The Huffington Post, The Hill, Politico, Housing Wire, AHF Magazine and multiple local papers. In addition, she has been featured in Forbes, Housing Finance, and has even appeared as a guest on The Steve Harvey Show and NBC/Comcast Newsmakers.
She holds dual bachelor's degrees in political science and Spanish from the University of Maryland.
